WITH YOUR PERMISSION Device Identifier. This information is necessary to provide you with a subscription to use our Service if you want to use the Service on multiple devices.

If you permit, we will collect your device identifier to track the devices you connect to your account.👋

WITHOUT YOUR PERMISSION Anonymous VPN connection diagnostics and failure reports:

  • Diagnostic information about whether and how a VPN connection attempt failed;
  • Speed testing data;

We collect some technical data (failure and speed information). We need this to make ALTVPN more stable.✅

Information associated with the email address of your account.

This information is necessary to provide you with a subscription to use our Service when you decide to register via email.

We collect your email IF you register to use the service with it. For obvious reasons👌

Successful connection (information about whether you successfully established a VPN connection on a specific day (but not at a specific time of day), to which VPN server (but not to your assigned outgoing IP address), and from which country/ISP (but not your source IP address)). This information helps us provide technical support, such as identifying connection issues, providing usage advice for our Service depending on the country, and identifying and resolving network issues for our engineers.

Summary (minimal usage statistics). This information helps us maintain the quality of our Service.

We collect anonymized information about your VPN connection (e.g., whether it was successful, which VPN server you connected to, when, and from which country)⚙️

Device-specific information, such as operating system version, language, device model. This information allows you to use multiple devices for the Services, enables us to differentiate devices, and manage device management.

Your country (by IP). This information is necessary to provide you with the most suitable VPN settings. We do not collect or store your IP address.

We do not store your IP, but we look at it to gather your country for providing personalized settings.🤩

Log-Free Policy and Respect for Your Privacy

We guarantee a strict no-log policy for our Services, meaning that our Service is provided by an automatic process, and your actions when using it are not tracked, recorded, logged, stored, or transmitted to any third party. We do not store connection timestamps, session information, used bandwidth, traffic logs, IP addresses, or any other data.

We have a strict no-log policy—we do not collect, store, or transmit ANY information about what you do online.

We have designed our Service to categorically exclude the storage of sensitive data. We may know that you used ALTVPN, but we will never know how you used our Service. We stand by our firm commitment to your privacy, having no data related to user online activity.

Collection of Information from Children

ALTVPN does not collect personal information from children under 13 years of age. If we discover that we have collected personal information about a child under 13, we will take reasonable steps to delete this information from our systems. If you are under 13, please do not provide any personal information through the Service or Content. Data stored and processed by ALTVPN may sometimes be transferred between these zones (in a secure manner). By placing or transmitting any information through our Service and/or Content, you agree that such information, including personal data, will be stored and made available in the United States of America and the European Union.

We store the collected information on our servers in the USA and EU. If we need to move it, we will do so securely.

Data Retention Period

As a general rule, we keep your data as long as you are a customer, and we delete your information within 30 days after termination of the Terms of Use or upon a written request. You can delete your personal data from ALTVPN at any time by sending us a corresponding request to: support@altvpn.com. However, we may retain some of your personal data for as long as reasonably necessary for our legitimate business interests or other purposes required by law, including fraud detection and prevention, and compliance with our legal obligations, including tax, legal reports, and audits.

If we decide to part ways, we will delete your data within 30 days or earlier if you request us to do so. However, we may retain some data if it is really necessary.

Guarantees

Non-sensitive information (such as your email address, etc.) is transmitted over the Internet in a regular way and can never be guaranteed 100% secure.
